The Senior Director, Development requires strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, ability to self-direct, strong background in data center design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements, with an emphasis on project/construction management. In this role, you will function as QTSโ€™ point of contact for new client builds and implementations and liaise between the QTS Sales Team (Account Exec and Sales Engineer), the QTS Operations Team, the QTS Property Development Team, and the Customer. The PSCM will work closely with existing Development Construction Project Managers to ensure the customersโ€™ needs are carried out to high levels of expectation.The position will report into the QTS Property Development department and work closely with the CHO and CRO, depending on the origin of the project.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS locationCoordinate with the QTS Property Development team, and supporting specialty consultants, to support customerโ€™s design needs, pricing, customer approvals, & implementation of specific deployment scopesManage the delivery of these projects, this position aligns clientsโ€™ objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts across the QTS organizationDrive effective client relationship management and efficient cost management, with the ultimate goal of delivering the project on time and on budgetServe as a single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured dealsBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelorโ€™s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or ArchitectureTen or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical FacilitiesFive or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providersBe able to travel up to 50% of the timeUS Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contractsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience managing multiple large, multi-faceted projectsExperience with Construction Health & Safety KnowledgeExperience with Customer Deployment Technologies and Equipment, RCDD a plus.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong Verbal and Written Communication SkillsAbility to independently manage deadlines and support staffAbility to influence cross-discipline teamsAbility to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth companyTOTAL REWARDSThis role is also eligible for a competitive bene๏ฌts package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; ๏ฌ‚exible spending and HSA accounts; paid holidays; paid time off; paid volunteer days; employee assistance program; tuition assistance; parental leave; military leave assistance; QTS scholarship for dependents; wellness program, and other company bene๏ฌts.This position is Bonus eligible.This job may be eligible for equity.In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Virginia.
