Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Full and Part-Time, 12-Hour Day Shifts (9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. amp; 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.)

Location: Staples, Motley, and Pillager, MN


Position Summary
We are seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with disabilities, chronic mental illness, and/or traumatic brain injuries in a residential setting. This role focuses on helping individuals live as independently as possible through daily care, skill-building, and community involvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support with daily living activities, including personal care
  • Administer medications according to established procedures
  • Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
  • Support individuals in developing and maintaining life skills
  • Accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and community activities
  • Implement behavior support strategies and respond calmly to challenging situations
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation
  • Follow all care plans, policies, and state regulations
  • Collaborate with team members, including supervisors and healthcare professionals

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background study and pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately
  • Ability to follow state and company policies, including 245D requirements

Schedule Requirements

  • Full and Part-time positions available
  • 12-hour day shifts (9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. amp; 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
