Direct Support Professional – Faribault, MN
Harry Meyering Center supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and community.

Job Purpose
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Harry Meyering Center play a vital role in providing daily support, supervision, and quality care to individuals living in our residential group homes. Using a person-centered approach, DSPs encourage independence while honoring each individual's goals, preferences, and unique needs. Team members work a variety of day, evening, and overnight shifts to ensure consistent awake staffing and help create a safe, stable, and welcoming home environment.
​​​​​​Schedule: Enjoy a flexible schedule with opportunities to work 8–40 hours per week, including every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), occasional fill‑in shifts, and holiday coverage. Shift times vary by location and availability, giving you room to find a rhythm that fits your life.
Location: Faribault, MN
Wage: $17.00 per hour

Evening and Overnight shifts will receive a shift differential of an extra $2.00 per hour when working those shifts.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or general education degree. 
  • Must hold a valid United States driver's license and pass a driving record check conducted by our insurance carrier unless otherwise noted.
  • Must pass the MN Department of Human Services Background Study
  • Have off-duty access to an operable telephone.
  • Demonstrate maturity to work with individuals served and co-workers.
  • Have the ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Have the ability to safely perform essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Prior experience with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Meet any other requirements set by licensure rules and regulations or other laws.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide direct care for others in an individualized and meaningful way.
  • Assist in personal cares.
  • Engage in community activities, i.e., bowling, shopping, watching a movie or exercising.
  • Complete daily direct care such as bathing, toileting, feeding, and dressing.
  • Complete household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Maintain HIPAA Compliance in all communications to HMC, whether written or verbal, external and internal.
  • Follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
