The Clinical Systems Trainer is responsible for training, implementation support, adoption, and optimization of PointClickCare (PCC) and other clinical technology solutions across a multi-site senior living and healthcare environment. This role partners with clinical, operational, and technology leaders to support successful system implementations, workflow alignment, user adoption, regulatory compliance, and ongoing performance improvement. The Clinical Systems Trainer serves as a subject matter expert, educator, and change champion to help communities maximize the value of clinical systems and support high-quality resident care delivery.
This position reports to the Director, Clinical Systems.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and deliver engaging in-person and virtual training sessions on PointClickCare for clinical staff, including onboarding, refresher education, role-based training, new feature rollouts, and go-live readiness.
  • Tailor training plans and materials to address the unique needs of communities, departments, clinical disciplines, and user roles.
  • Lead or support portions of PointClickCare implementations, new community conversions, module deployments, and workflow changes.
  • Coordinate training logistics, readiness activities, go-live support, and post-go-live stabilization in partnership with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve training resources, quick reference guides, job aids, FAQs, and knowledge base content to support user proficiency in PCC.
  • Ensure training resources remain current with system enhancements, configuration changes, regulatory expectations, and approved clinical workflows.
  • Serve as a PointClickCare subject matter expert and resource for clinical and operational teams, helping users understand proper system use and workflow expectations.
  • Gather feedback from community staff and leaders regarding system usability, training effectiveness, workflow barriers, and adoption challenges.
  • Monitor system utilization, adoption trends, support themes, and training feedback to identify opportunities for additional education, workflow improvement, or system optimization.
  • Partner with clinical leadership to help ensure PCC workflows support regulatory requirements, documentation standards, survey readiness, and organizational policies.
  • Support organizational change management efforts by promoting adoption of new workflows, technology enhancements, system best practices, and standardized processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrations, process improvements, vendor communications, and clinical technology initiatives involving PCC or related systems.
  • Participate in development of community readiness plans, implementation lessons learned, and ongoing clinical systems education programs.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing, health information technology, education, clinical informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of related experience in clinical systems training, healthcare technology, EHR implementation, nursing operations, senior living, long-term care, or a related healthcare technology role required.
  • Experience developing and delivering training to diverse audiences in virtual and in-person formats required.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage clinical, operational, and technical audiences required.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to assess system-related questions, identify root causes, and determine whether the issue is related to training, workflow, configuration, or technical support required.
  • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, communities, and initiatives simultaneously required.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards, documentation expectations, privacy requirements, and compliance considerations required.
  • Hands-on experience with PointClickCare, including clinical workflows or modules, preferred.
  • Experience supporting PointClickCare implementations, conversions, module rollouts, or go-live events preferred.
  • Experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, home health, or long-term care preferred.
  • Clinical license or background, such as LPN, RN, or comparable clinical operations experience, preferred.
  • Experience with adult learning principles, instructional design, eLearning development, or learning management systems preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 tools, Teams, SharePoint, reporting tools, or knowledge management platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting workflow standardization, change management, process improvement, or adoption initiatives preferred.
