As Director of Clinical Operations, reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical systems and standards that ensure the highest quality of care. You will be a key driver in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities
What you will do:
  • Elevate Clinical Competency: Establish and maintain robust clinical competencies for all licensed nurses, ensuring ongoing education and development through monthly training calls with Directors of Nursing Services and Staff Development Coordinators. Develop system-driven educational topics focusing on key areas such as pressure ulcers, antipsychotic reduction, and regulatory updates.
  • Strengthen Clinical Systems: Develop and implement core clinical systems and guidelines, including standards for cornerstones of care such as seating and positioning, consistent assignments, and transitions of care. Establish a system for measuring adherence to these critical systems.
  • Enhance Quality of Life: Define standards and tools for monitoring adherence to dementia care protocols. Provide crucial support to Social Services in areas such as event management, grievance response, guardianship, and advance directives. Collaborate with Activities teams to implement innovative service approaches and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Champion Infection Control: Provide expert guidance on infection control protocols, responding effectively to new regulatory requirements and assisting in the revision of company clinical standards based on industry best practices and research.
  • Lead with Impact: Provide clinical leadership and support to multiple skilled nursing facilities, driving consistent application of best practices and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in the Long-Term Care & Rehab industry.
  • Proven experience as a Director of Nursing in Long-Term Care.
  • Demonstrated experience managing clinical operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities.
