WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

A Director / Senior Mgr of Celebrity Relations based out of Los Angles. This leader will partner closely with the U.S. VP of Marketing & Communications and the Global Communications team in Europe to develop and execute an integrated celebrity and communications strategy that advances the brand's vision and business objectives across both regional and global markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong, established relationships with toptier celebrities, VIPs, stylists, and agents, with a proven ability to proactively drive Hollywood dressing for award shows, premieres, and key cultural moments, positioning Valentino prominently across red carpets and highprofile events.

Key Responsibilities:

Celebrity Relations:

  • Secure and maintain strong relationships with high level stylists, publicists, agents, etc.
  • Wrangle celebrities to attend all Valentino runway shows and global/high profile events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with A-list celebrities, talent agencies, publicists, stylists, and costume designers and constantly scout and advise on new opportunities and talent. Build organic relationships with our targeted list.
  • Create and manage professional relationships with celebrity and VIP agency partners.

Strategy:

  • Create and execute seasonal celebrity strategies, including award season and Met Gala.
  • Help develop and implement a global Celebrity and VIP strategy to increase visibility and exposure for the brand.

Business Management:

  • Negotiate and manage celebrity contracts and agreements and advise global team on best practices.
  • Support internal business unit marketing teams in identifying and obtaining talent relevant to market; develop tailored programs per market needs.
  • Oversee and develop structure and protocol for seasonal gifting, pre-orders, product seeding, VIP store visits and product pulls.
  • Identify key event opportunities for dressing and brand ambassadors.
  • Drive product placement into television and film.
  • Continuously identify new programs/initiatives to drive the brand vision. Measure ROI and impressions across initiatives in order to gauge success and inform future initiatives.

Leadership:

  • Oversee, guide and mentor Celebrity team members.

 

 Base salary ranges from $130,000-$150,000 ( salary is based on experience and subject to change)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in Public Relations, Bookings, Talent Agency/Representative Experience; Luxury Retail industry experience highly preferred
  • Strong fashion sense and awareness or popular culture
  • Strong media, stylist and celebrity-related contacts
  • Highly developed leadership and communication skills; galvanize groups to execute against a vision
  • Tactical strategic thinker who can balance intuitive and analytical
  • Resourceful self-starter who is highly motivated, energetic, and accord-building, as well as able to motivate others by his/her example
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven people leader who can engage and develop talent
  • Articulate, with exceptional oral and written and communication skills
