IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College / University with 6 semester hours in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • A combination of infant, toddler or preschool teaching experience.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Flexibility with schedule.
  • Must meet state educational and licensing requirements for an assistant director.

AS A LEADER:
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the child development program which encompasses but is not limited to:
  • Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives.
  • Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
  • Serve in various roles throughout the center as needed including director, teacher.
  • Following the application of weekly plans based on Creative Curriculum Guidelines and monthly themes in the classrooms.
  • Meeting the individual needs of the children by interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
  • Guiding and following up with the teachers designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
  • Supervising teachers for creating positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning.
  • Building teamwork.
  • Using assessment tools and observations to track individual teacher development.
  • Committing to continuing education.
