Job description

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Relocation Assistance Available

Location: Hartford, WI

Pay: $32.00 - $42.00 / hour, based on relevant experience and work history

Paid Relocation: Available for qualified candidates relocating from 100+ miles away.

Shift Options Available:

  • 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • 6:00 pm - 6:00 am

Schedule: 12-hour compressed work schedule (3/4 or 4/3 rotation), working only 182 days per year while maintaining full-time pay and benefits.

Important: This is an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic position. Previous industrial mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Position Summary

Quad is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our Hartford manufacturing team.

In this role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the sophisticated mechanical systems that keep one of North America's largest commercial printing operations running efficiently. Your expertise will play a critical role in maximizing equipment uptime, improving reliability, and supporting safe, high-quality production.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial printing and manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical components, including gearboxes, bearings, compressors, and drive systems.
  • Perform equipment upgrades and mechanical improvements to enhance production performance.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to quickly resolve equipment issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous industrial mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing industrial printing equipment is highly preferred.
  • Training or experience in welding, hydraulics, blueprint reading, and machine trades mathematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and maintenance teams.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour compressed schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
