Position Overview

Harris Energy Solutions (HES) is a nationwide Energy Consulting Services firm. HES offers a full suite of consulting services, including Building Energy modeling, Renewable Energy Consulting, Master Planning, Energy Audit, Building Commissioning, and Building Retro-Commissioning. We pride ourselves in the work we perform and the services we provide. HES is hiring a Senior Energy Engineer with proven proficiency in Energy Audits & Commissioning work to join our team. Proficiency in Energy Audits & Commissioning work is a mandatory requirement for this role. Candidates without direct Energy Audits & Commissioning work experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Energy Modeling
  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced energy models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and energy market strategies.
  • Oversee the modeling team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate modeling insights into broader company initiatives.
  • Perform drawing reviews to identify applicable building components
  • Compile data for inputs into building energy modeling software
  • Execute building modeling
  • Perform ASHRAE Level I/II/III Energy Audits
  • Analyze utility bills and drawings to identify building energy consumption
  • Conduct onsite energy audits of complex building systems
  • Identify Energy Conservation Measures
  • Perform energy savings and cost analyses for projects
  • Generate a technical report for deliverables to clients
  • Supervise energy services personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, and enforcement of internal procedures and control, and problem resolution; evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions; motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Energy Audits & Commissioning work is required. Candidates without demonstrated experience in Energy Audits & Commissioning work will not be considered.
  • A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities)
  • 6 years of experience in the Energy Engineering field
  • Experience with building energy modeling techniques
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of energy efficiency technologies, HVAC systems, and renewable systems
  • Experience with large commercial and multi-family buildings
  • Ability to travel throughout the United States
