We are seeking an experienced product leader to own one of the most strategically important growth portfolios within our digital ecosystem: B2B Portfolio Experience.

DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Product Management, the Director, Digital Product Management – B2B Portfolio Experience will define the product vision, strategy, roadmap and in support of business-led commercial strategies and customer priorities for Thermo Fisher Scientific's B2B digital commerce channel. This leader will focus on shaping the future of how enterprise customers engage with our catalog, purchasing experiences, procurement systems, punchout platforms, enterprise marketplaces and emerging digital procurement ecosystems. The role serves as the product leader responsible for maximizing the value delivered through B2B customer connections while driving growth, adoption, customer satisfaction and digital revenue performance.

As the company's largest and fastest-growing digital revenue channel, B2B commerce requires strategic leadership across customer experience design, commercial enablement, marketplace partnerships, customer integrations and future platform innovation. The successful candidate will operate across organizational boundaries to connect business priorities, customer needs and platform capabilities influencing product strategy , technology direction and investment priorities. The leader will partner with divisional leaders, commercial organizations, engineering and external ecosystem partners to deliver scalable enterprise experiences that accelerate business growth.

How You Will Make an Impact

Define the Future of B2B Digital Commerce

  • Translate complex customer, commercial and technology challenges into clear product strategies that influence platform direction and enterprise investment decisions.
  • Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy and roadmap for Thermo Fisher Scientific's B2B commerce experience portfolio.
  • Establish a multi-year strategic roadmap that supports evolving procurement models, marketplace ecosystems, enterprise integrations and customer purchasing behaviors.
  • Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for B2B digital commerce procurement ecosystems and market capabilities, influencing product strategy across multiple product and engineering teams.
  • Anticipate market shifts and emerging technologies to position Thermo Fisher Scientific as a leader in digital B2B commerce.

Drive Revenue Growth and Commercial Outcomes

  • Own and influence key business outcomes for the B2B digital channel including revenue growth, conversion, adoption, customer retention and digital engagement.
  • Partner with commercial leaders to identify opportunities to increase customer adoption of digital purchasing channels.
  • Develop business cases and investment strategies that maximize commercial impact and customer value.
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting frameworks that connect product investments to measurable business outcomes.

Lead a Complex Customer Experience Portfolio

  • Shape experiences spanning the complete B2B customer lifecycle from product discovery and procurement integration through order placement, fulfillment visibility, notifications, invoicing and post-purchase support.
  • Define differentiated experiences for enterprise procurement customers that balance customer requirements with operational efficiency.
  • Drive customer-centric innovation that improves usability, transparency and productivity across digital purchasing workflows.
  • Champion customer experience excellence across Thermo Fisher Scientific and Fisher Scientific digital properties.

Influence Across a Global Matrix Organization

  • Collaborate closely with marketplace enablement teams to understand evolving marketplace requirements and identify opportunities for strategic differentiation.
  • Provide strategic guidance to platform product managers and engineering leaders to ensure shared capabilities support evolving enterprise commerce needs.
  • Serve as an internal thought leader in B2B digital commerce, sharing industry trends, emerging solutions and best practices with executives and cross functional teams.

Market and Customer Leadership

  • Engage directly with strategic customers, procurement leaders, marketplace partners and industry stakeholders to understand emerging needs and future opportunities.
  • Conduct market sensing, customer research, competitive analysis and trend monitoring to inform product strategy.
  • Serve as the thought leader and internal advocate for the future of B2B digital commerce and procurement experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging AI, automation and marketplace capabilities to improve customer outcomes and business performance.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Digital Product Management, Digital Commerce, Enterprise Software, Procurement Technology, Marketplace Platforms, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience owning complex product portfolios with measurable commercial outcomes
  • Experience defining and executing multi-year product strategies across large-scale digital ecosystems
  • Proven success influencing senior leaders and driving alignment across complex matrix organizations
  • Experience managing products that serve enterprise customers and business-critical workflows
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and business case development capabilities
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B eCommerce, procurement technologies, marketplaces, punchout solutions, or enterprise purchasing platforms
  • Experience working within large global organizations supporting multiple regions and business units
  • Familiarity with SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Oracle Procurement, enterprise gateway marketplaces, or similar ecosystems
  • Experience leading digital commerce or customer experience transformations

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $176,000.00–$250,000.00.
