Job description

Does this position interest you? You should apply - even if you don't match every single requirement! We're known as an auto glass company. That's the focus of what we do. But beyond the glass, we're so much more. We'll help you build a fulfilling career and encourage you to have a life. Let us be the best place you'll ever work.

Does this position interest you?

The companies winning in the next decade won't simply have better technology.

They'll have better operating systems.

At Safelite, we're building an AI-native digital organization designed to move faster, learn faster, and deliver measurable business value at scale. We're looking for a transformational leader to help architect the operating model that powers that future.

As AVP (Associate Vice President), Digital Operations, you will build and evolve the systems, rhythms, and processes that connect strategy to execution across our digital portfolio. You'll create the visibility, prioritization, and performance management capabilities that enable our teams to scale innovation while delivering measurable outcomes for the business.

This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Digital and sits at the center of one of the most significant digital transformations underway within the company.

What You'll Do

Build the Operating System for Digital

  • Own the operating model that connects strategy, investment, and execution across our Digital organization.
  • Establish the portfolio management disciplines that create transparency, accountability, and predictability.
  • Build the governance, planning, goal-setting, and performance management systems that allow teams to scale effectively.
  • Create clear visibility into priorities, investments, business outcomes, risks, and delivery commitments.

Connect Work to Business Value

  • Build the framework that directly links digital initiatives to financial and business outcomes.
  • Partner with Product, Finance, Analytics, and business leaders to define, validate, and measure value realization.
  • Create a clear line of sight from strategic investments to growth, efficiency, customer outcomes, and enterprise performance.
  • Help leadership make better decisions through data, insight, and transparency.

Drive Portfolio Strategy and Prioritization

  • Lead portfolio planning across multiple product domains and investment horizons.
  • Develop prioritization frameworks that ensure resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
  • Balance near-term performance needs with long-term innovation and transformation goals.
  • Guide trade-off decisions in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve rapidly.

Accelerate Speed, Agility, and Execution

  • Create operating rhythms that enable teams to move with greater speed and confidence.
  • Improve how Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Business teams work together to deliver results.
  • Identify bottlenecks, eliminate unnecessary complexity, and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning, delivery, and decision-making processes.

Lead AI-Native Ways of Working

  • Champion the use of AI throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop frameworks, tools, workflows, and practices that help teams leverage AI to improve speed, quality, and outcomes.
  • Partner with leaders across Digital to create an AI-enabled operating model that becomes a competitive advantage.
  • Help shape how a modern enterprise integrates AI into daily work and strategic execution.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a builder who can create clarity, focus, and momentum at scale.

You know how high-performing product organizations operate because you've built them.

You understand that operating models aren't about process-they're about enabling faster decisions, better prioritization, and stronger business outcomes.

You are equally comfortable discussing portfolio economics, organizational design, AI transformation, operating cadence, and business strategy.

Most importantly, you know how to take an organization from where it is today to where it needs to be tomorrow.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in Product Operations, Business Operations, Strategic Planning, Portfolio Management, or a related function.
  • Proven success building and scaling operational capabilities within product-led, technology-forward organizations.
  • Experience connecting investment decisions and product portfolios to measurable business and financial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to create planning frameworks, operating rhythms, prioritization models, and governance structures that improve execution.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience using data to influence strategy and decision-making.
  • Experience driving AI adoption, modern ways of working, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and executive influence skills.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building Product Operations, Portfolio Management, Digital Operations, or Transformation functions from the ground up.
  • Experience supporting large-scale digital product organizations.
  • Understanding of modern product operating models, analytics platforms, and planning frameworks.
  • Experience working across Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Operations teams.
  • Experience supporting enterprise AI transformation initiatives.
  • We work with our European partners quite often, so Central or Eastern time zones are preferred.
Who Thrives Here

The leaders who excel in this role are:

  • Builders who love creating new capabilities at scale.
  • Strategic operators who connect execution to business outcomes.
  • Systems thinkers who can simplify complexity.
  • Innovators who use AI and technology to improve how work gets done.
  • Leaders who bring structure to ambiguity.
  • Change agents who challenge conventional ways of operating.
  • Executives who believe speed, learning, and adaptability are competitive advantages.

Why Join Safelite?

This is a rare opportunity to design the operating system behind a modern, AI-native digital organization.

You'll influence how investment decisions get made, how teams operate, how value is measured, and how AI becomes embedded across the enterprise.

You'll help build the foundation for the next chapter of Safelite's growth-creating the structures, processes, and capabilities that allow innovation to move faster and scale further.

If you're energized by building systems that enable transformation, we'd love to hear from you. Apply Now!
