POSITION SUMMARY

The Social Media Coordinator supports all 5K Holdings companies through centralized social media planning, content coordination, publishing, community management, and performance tracking. The role keeps each company's digital presence consistent, professional, and active while supporting its individual business goals, audiences, and brand identity.

The right person is creative, highly organized, and responsive, and works comfortably across several brands and priorities at once. This position partners with company leadership, internal departments, subject-matter experts, vendors, and the broader Marketing team to gather content, coordinate creative assets, and maintain an organized enterprise-wide content calendar while holding to established brand standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate social media content across 5K Holdings and its operating companies.

  • Maintain a centralized content calendar accounting for company priorities, campaigns, events, recruiting needs, project milestones, and industry activity.

  • Draft, edit, schedule, and publish content across approved social media platforms.

  • Adapt messaging, tone, and content for different companies, audiences, and platforms while following established brand standards.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather project updates, employee stories, photographs, videos, company news, and other content opportunities.

  • Work with designers, photographers, videographers, and marketing team members to develop supporting creative assets.

  • Monitor comments, messages, mentions, tags, reviews, and community activity across company accounts.

  • Respond to routine engagement appropriately and escalate sensitive, technical, legal, client-related, or reputational matters.

  • Support social media coverage for company events, community initiatives, recruiting activities, client engagements, and industry conferences.

  • Maintain organized records of content requests, approvals, publishing dates, assets, and campaign activity.

  • Track platform performance and prepare recurring reports on engagement, audience growth, reach, content performance, and emerging trends.

  • Identify opportunities to improve content quality, consistency, engagement, and brand visibility.

  • Stay informed on platform updates, content formats, social media trends, and digital best practices.

  • Provide additional digital marketing and communications support based on changing business priorities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two or more years in social media, digital marketing, content creation, communications, public relations, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience planning, writing, scheduling, and publishing content for professional social media accounts.

  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adjust messaging for different brands, audiences, and platforms.

  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, managing multiple company accounts, deadlines, approvals, and content needs at once.

  • Working knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and relevant content-management or scheduling platforms.

  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable creative tools.

  • Ability to interpret basic social media analytics and prepare clear performance reports.

  • Strong judgment managing public comments, messages, sensitive information, and brand-related concerns.

  • Proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with employees, executives, vendors, and operational teams.

  • Availability for occasional company events, project-location visits, and content needs outside standard business hours as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience managing social media for multiple brands, business units, locations, or companies.

  • Business-to-business, construction, manufacturing, professional-services, recruiting, or employer-brand experience.

  • Familiarity with social media management platforms, scheduling tools, website platforms, email marketing, Microsoft Planner, SharePoint, and Office 365.

  • Basic photography, videography, graphic design, and short-form video-editing capabilities.

  • Experience supporting paid social campaigns, executive thought leadership, employee advocacy, recruiting content, community management, or social listening.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS

The Social Media Coordinator takes ownership of assigned accounts and content, communicates proactively, and carries work through planning, approval, publishing, and reporting.
