Backed by world-class investors, operators, and sports & entertainment partners, we are building the global leader in next-generation collectibles. As part of the broader Fanatics ecosystem, we leverage a digital sports platform that spans over 900 sports properties and engages more than 81 million fans. Together, we are reimagining every part of the collectibles experience for fans, partners, and creators.

Function/Purpose:

The Digital Asset Management (DAM) Specialist supports the day-to-day organization, maintenance, and accuracy of Fanatics Collectibles' digital asset management (DAM) system. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented DAM professional with a strong technical mindset who is eager to apply and grow best practices related to asset governance, metadata, and licensed content.

In support of the Fanatics Collectibles portfolio, this position follows established archival standards and procedures to facilitate the intake, organization, security, and delivery of creative digital assets from external licensors into the DAM system. Reporting directly to the Manager of Digital Assets, this individual ensures logos, production-ready artwork, and licensor brand guidelines are properly stored, tagged, approved, and ready for use across creative and Prepress workflows.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Asset Organization & Maintenance

  • Ingest, organize, and maintain digital assets including logos, artwork, photography, and video.
  • Apply established naming conventions, folder structures, and metadata standards.
  • Support asset versioning, approvals, and archival processes.

Metadata & Discoverability

  • Accurately tag assets with required metadata to ensure search and retrieval.
  • Perform routine metadata audits and assist with corrections as needed.
  • Support updates to metadata fields under guidance from the DAM leadership.

Logo & Prepress Support

  • Support management of logo assets used for print and production workflows (e.g., 4C, white plate, etch, foil variants).
  • Ensure logos are correctly labeled, versioned, and prepared for Prepress usage.
  • Perform production-readiness checks (e.g., color mode, layer structure, file format) prior to asset approval.
 Rights & Usage Awareness
  •  Adhere to documented guidelines related to licensing, usage restrictions, and expiration rules.
  • Ensure required legal or usage disclaimers are included and accurately captured in asset metadata.
  • Flag outdated or non-compliant assets for review.
 User Support
  • Assist internal teams with basic DAM questions and asset searches.
  • Help maintain DAM documentation and onboarding materials.
  • Support training efforts as the DAM platform evolves.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Digital Asset Management, Information & Library Science, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a DAM role or closely supporting a Digital Asset Management system.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience working with logo files and production-ready artwork.
  • Exposure to print or Prepress workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to consistently follow defined processes and metadata standards.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CMS, DAM, or MAM platforms is a plus (e.g., AEM Assets, Frame.io, PhotoShelter, OpenText Media Management).
  • Experience supporting licensed sports or entertainment assets preferred.
  • Passion for Sports & Entertainment and interest in Collectibles.
