The Ask? Client is looking for a Certified Packaging Professional / Lead  to optimize end-to-end industrial packaging systems supporting high-volume manufacturing, warehouse operations, and global logistics networks. This role serves as the technical authority for packaging engineering, returnable systems, material storage optimization, shipping standards, packaging automation, warehouse integration, and logistics engineering.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering.
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial packaging engineering, transportation packaging, warehouse operations, manufacturing logistics, material flow engineering, packaging automation, and supply chain operations within high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced expertise in industrial packaging systems, returnable packaging design, PFEP development, packaging material selection, warehouse storage optimization, logistics and transportation systems, material handling equipment, AutoCAD layout development, packaging cost analysis, export packaging standards, Euro packaging standards, and inventory/replenishment systems required.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • Certified Packaging Professional (CPP), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, APICS CPIM/CSCP, OSHA/warehouse safety certification, AutoCAD certification, or related industrial engineering and supply chain certifications preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and standardize packaging specifications and engineering standards for raw materials, lubricants, fluids, WIP, service parts, finished goods, export shipments, and domestic transportation requirements.
  • Lead concept development through design, prototype, testing, validation, and production implementation of carts, trolleys, flow racks, transport fixtures, line-side delivery systems, ergonomic presentation equipment, and material handling solutions.
  • Develop packaging standards supporting product protection, transportation efficiency, warehouse storage optimization, inventory accuracy, dock-to-line material flow, export compliance, sustainability initiatives, and returnable packaging programs.
  • Lead packaging automation initiatives involving automated packaging systems, labeling equipment, stretch wrapping systems, conveyor integration, barcode systems, ergonomic assist devices, and advanced material presentation equipment.
  • Lead enterprise-level packaging cost reduction initiatives focused on packaging material optimization, freight cost reduction, transportation efficiency, cube utilization improvement, labor optimization, returnable packaging implementation, packaging standardization, warehouse space reduction, and damage prevention.
  • Develop visual management systems, standardized work instructions, packaging SOPs, audit systems, and operator training programs supporting packaging consistency, material handling safety, operational discipline, and inventory control
