Job Schedule: 9/80- employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours- and have every other Friday off 

Job Description:

The Operations Project Manager, at Londonderry, NH for L3Harris will utilize their past experience in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or Program Management to lead and coordinate activities across Operations, Quality, Engineering and Supply chain to ensure program and production execution to cost and schedule for products in the development stage, ramping, and/or in sustaining production. This includes ownership of the material and production labor budgets for the program(s). The Operations Project Manager will be a key member of the Integrated Program Team representing operations, and interfacing with PMO, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Senior Leadership. 

Essential Functions:

  • With Operations Director, serve as Cost Account Manager for material and production labor budgets
  • Complete data analysis of material costs, production touch times, and production support labor requirements to develop EACs/ETCs while documenting BOEs, Risks, and Opportunities
  • Partner with Production Managers to review touch labor Hours Per Unit (HPU) metrics, and help identify and lead improvement initiatives that will reduce HPU
  • Develop and maintain Risk and Opportunity registers and establish action plans to mitigate risk and capture opportunities.
  • Developing plans, timelines, and resource requirements for new product development and/or transition to production, integrated with the other functional elements.
  • Monitoring performance to plan and identifying opportunities to exceed plan or address lagging indicators of production execution
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Operations and other functions for key Products/Programs
  • Serve as the single Production POC for escalating issues to specific functions or leading problem solving discussions across multiple functions to ensure alignment, bias for action, and timely closeout of actions
  • Executing strategies and actions to improve Supplier on time Delivery metrics and Customer on time Delivery metrics
  • Create Strategic Supply Chain Strategies that mitigate supply risk and/or reduce cost and be able to execute them tactically
  • Ensure customer flow down requirements are communicated through the Supply Base
  • Lead of materials working group that proactively identifies actionable projects that will mitigate supply disruptions (quality and delivery) and cost growth
  • Analyze data, form actionable insights, and communicate effectively to motivate cross-functional resources to take appropriate actions
  • New Business Proposals / Capture Experience on competitive and/or sole source pursuits

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience in a complex manufacturing/supply chain environment

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong data analytics/excel/powerpoint skills, and ability to correlate data to what is happening in the manufacturing processes 
  • Earned Value Management experience / Previous Control Account Manager experience
  • Knowledge and Experience with FAR, DFAR
  • Knowledge and Experience with Export/Import laws.
  • PMP Certification
  • Advanced degree
  • Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement leadership experience
  • Experience with manufacturing time standard data and planning for headcount/equipment requirements
