SCOPE OF SERVICES:

The Senior Project Manager will work with the NYC Digital Service team to oversee the entire project lifecycle from planning, tracking and delivery with quality and on time. The project manager will serve as key communication link between internal and external stakeholders, develop and own delivery on timelines and help facilitate meetings to resolve issues and keep work aligned to deliver results. 

TASKS:

โ€ข Work with team to define project objectives and create and maintain detailed work plan

โ€ข Lead and manage tasks within the team and plan communication cadence within team and with external stakeholders

โ€ข Monitor project activities, document agreements, communicate to project stakeholders, and escalate issues on a timely basis

โ€ข Maintain project documentation ensuring alignment with objectives

โ€ข Set up and manage user stories in Azure DevOps project 

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

1. Minimum of 8 years of experience managing web projects

2. Demonstrated experience delivering quality websites and web features to launch

3. Ability to proactively plan and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a complex environment and elevate issues for resolution

4. Expertise in software delivery best practices with proficiency in Azure DevOps or similar system for ticketing and issue resolution

5. Strong communication skills to collaborate with leadership, experts, and decision makers cross-functionally and across teams, coaching teams to drive outcomes

6. Knowledge of agile ways of working and modern software development practices

7. Experience setting up project management tooling for teams

8. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

9. Manage quality assurance testing according to city process

10. Manage and execute software release process 

11. Interface with technical teams and have experience working with them.
