Description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Business Development Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with customers, and has strong organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while collaborating with team members across the company. Candidates with previous experience in construction, engineering, utility locating, or estimating are encouraged to apply. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, Salesforce, utility plans, or Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is a plus.


Duties & Responsibilities:Β 

Customer Service both phone and email

Lead creation in Salesforce

Follow up on outstanding proposals

Collaboration with internal teams

Project Estimating

Sending out proposals

Requirements

Customer Forward, effective communicator both on the phone and via email

Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change

Knowledge of Microsoft platforms, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Teams. Β Excel specifically, the whole group lives in that system daily

Salesforce experience would be a bonus

Comfortable and eager to collaborate with team members and other groups across the company

Strong Mathematical/Analytical Skills/Attention to Detail


Preferred Qualifications:

Prior estimating experience within locating/construction/engineering

Proficient Microsoft Excel operator

Experience with Subsurface Utility Engineering, reviewing maps and utility plans with knowledge of utility infrastructure

Experience in Bluebeam, another daily platform used by the group

Previous Experience working with Engineering Firms, General Contractors, MunicipalitiesΒ
