Job description

Workstation Engineer

The workstation engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the corporate desktop, which includes but is not limited to software packaging, patch management, and automation. They will participate in daily Operations calls and serve as an escalation point for junior members of the team. The ideal candidate will have a clear track record that demonstrates growth in their current role, taking on progressively more challenging projects and positions. The Workstation Engineer must have a strong knowledge of SCCM, Active Directly, Group Policy, Office 365, Intune, and Azure Active Directory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree desirable but not required.
  • 5+ years working in a similar capacity in a small to medium-size team

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Expertise with Windows Desktop 10
  • Proficient installing, configuring, servicing, and troubleshooting OS issues
  • Expertise in supporting a Windows server environment
  • Experience supporting SS&C (formerly DST) suite of applications preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the Office 365 platform including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Azure Active Directory
  • The ability to execute on a vision with minimal direction and guidance
  • Experience supporting using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) strongly preferred
  • Service Now support and development preferred, but not required
  • Working knowledge of desktop security tools such as Cb Protect, Cb Response, Microsoft ATP a plus
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and related technologies
  • Proficiency supporting Mac OS in a corporate environment strongly preferred
  • Experience managing iOS and Android devices using tools such as VMWare Workspace One (Airwatch) or Microsoft Intune
  • Strong customer focus
  • The ability to prioritize several competing priorities
  • Certifications in SCCM, Office 365, and other technologies are not required, but strongly preferred
