Some agencies may require higher education, but certification is often an absolute requirement since they demonstrate valuable real-world skills. Some of the certifications to consider getting include the CompTIA A+ series, the Microsoft Certified Solutions series, and the Cisco series. CompTIA gives you a general knowledge base, Microsoft focuses on Windows-based operating systems, and Cisco focuses on network functionality.
