🚀 Hiring: Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Springfield, Oregon, United States

Job Type: Contract / Full-time (Add as applicable)

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. If you have hands-on experience supporting end-user devices, troubleshooting technical issues, and working in enterprise IT environments, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end technical support for desktop and laptop systems, resolving hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
  • Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities along with break/fix support for end-user devices.
  • Manage the desktop lifecycle, including OS imaging, device configuration, software deployment, patch management, and hardware replacements.
  • Utilize enterprise tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and ServiceNow for software deployment, asset management, remote support, and ticket resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain approved software applications while ensuring compliance with IT security policies.
  • Deliver both deskside and remote support for Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, VPN clients, and other enterprise applications.
  • Troubleshoot and support printers, scanners, docking stations, monitors, and other peripheral devices.
  • Provide VIP/Executive support and serve as the primary onsite contact during critical incidents and escalations.
  • Perform basic Active Directory administration, including user account management, password resets, group membership updates, and access support.
  • Ensure endpoint security through antivirus monitoring, system updates, and compliance with organizational IT standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, asset inventory, technical procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support Windows operating systems, mobile devices, and basic macOS troubleshooting.
  • Follow ITIL best practices for Incident, Problem, and Service Request Management while meeting defined SLA targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience providing Desktop Support in a corporate or enterprise IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, VPN, and desktop hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, device imaging, software deployment, and endpoint management.
  • Experience supporting printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, LAN).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • ITIL certification or knowledge is an added advantage.
