About this Role
The Desktop Support teammate will use knowledge and specialized skills to implement technical solutions, and provide high quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, enterprise applications, and internally developed software, as well as provide testing as needed. The Support Engineer will determine when it is appropriate to deviate from a standard practice to accomplish a desired result, as well as troubleshoot and solve straightforward problems that do not have defined SOPs.
What You'll Do
  • Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours
  • Setup, maintain, and improve hardware for internal and project related users
  • Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions
  • Participate in or manage local technical projects
  • Conduct software testing following the internal SDLC and management of related solutions
  • Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes
  • Identify root-causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies
  • Notify IT Project Managers if any issue is identified with an in-house application
  • Provide, as needed, project specific duties and responsibilities
  • All other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring
  • Proficiency with SQL (creating queries for research and analysis, views, and stored procedures)
  • Data center infrastructure and facilities experience is a plus. ISP Circuit Procurement
  • Familiarity with InTune, Entra, inventory management, ManageEngine, and Jira
  • Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
  • Proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision
  • Impeccable end user communication, with the ability to maintain friendliness and candor through emails and calls
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Discipline to ethically handle private data, including financial and/or healthcare data for certain companies
  • Able to communicate effectively and work in a team setting
  • Ensure end users are adhering to compliance policies and procedures
  • Proficient advanced and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite/hardware installation/partitioning etc.)

Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
  • 3+ Years IT Support Engineer or Related Experience
