Description
StrideCare is a fast-growing medical group committed to delivering personalized, quality, patient-centric care. Our team of providers and staff place patient care at the core while delivering an efficient and fulfilling experience for both patients and providers. We are seeking a Desktop Engineer who is passionate about supporting clinical operations through strong technical execution and a thoughtful, methodical approach to problem solving.
StrideCare is a multi-specialty physician group focused on delivering comprehensive lower extremity care across Texas. Our expert doctors specialize in the treatment of foot and ankle problems, lower extremity care, wound care, vascular and vein care. Our physicians and surgeons offer multi-disciplinary treatment for common and complex conditions including diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, neuropathy, diabetic foot ulcers, venous insufficiency, and wounds.
StrideCare is headquartered in Dallas, Texas with practices across the state.
Job Summary:
StrideCare is seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer to serve as a senior technical resource for end-user computing across our growing clinic network. This is not a script-following help desk role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician who can independently diagnose problems across endpoints, identity, networking, and cloud platforms, then implement and document durable fixes. The Desktop Engineer will work directly with our infrastructure team to support day-to-day operations and contribute to integration projects as StrideCare acquires new practices.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Tier 2 escalation point for endpoint, identity, M365, and connectivity issues across all StrideCare locations.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex Windows endpoint issues including profile corruption, Group Policy and Intune policy conflicts, driver and peripheral failures, performance degradation, and application compatibility.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Intune at the operational level: user and device lifecycle, Conditional Access troubleshooting, compliance policy issues, Autopilot enrollment, and configuration profile deployment.
  • Manage M365 workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) including mailbox configuration, distribution and security group management, sharing and permission troubleshooting, and license assignment.
  • Configure and troubleshoot RingCentral phones, users, queues, and call flows; coordinate number porting and provisioning for new sites.
  • Provide endpoint support for clinical applications and peripherals including scanners, label printers signature pads, and imaging devices.
  • Image, deploy, and decommission Windows endpoints using Intune and Autopilot; maintain hardware standards and asset records.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues at the endpoint and clinic level including DNS, DHCP, wireless authentication, VPN clients, and basic LAN diagnostics.
  • Use PowerShell to perform routine administrative tasks across Entra, Exchange, and endpoint management; modify existing scripts and write straightforward new ones when needed.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and known issues in OneNote and internal knowledge bases.
  • Support integration activities for newly acquired clinics including user provisioning, endpoint migration, and on-site cutover assistance.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and security policies to maintain patient confidentiality and data security.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a desktop engineering, endpoint engineering, or senior help desk role supporting at least 200 users across multiple sites.
  • Minimum of 5 years supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 in a domain or Entra-joined environment, including the Microsoft 365 stack (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience administering Microsoft Intune, including policy creation, app deployment, compliance and Conditional Access, and Autopilot.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell sufficient to run, modify, and troubleshoot administrative scripts against Entra, Exchange Online, and endpoints.
  • Practical understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, 802.1X, and VPN concepts at a level sufficient to triage endpoint connectivity issues without escalation.
  • Experience supporting a UCaaS platform such as RingCentral, Zoom Phone, 8x8, or Vonage, including user and call flow administration.
  • Experience with RMM and remote support tooling.
  • Experience supporting an EHR or other clinical application in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and ticket notes that another engineer can act on.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize across competing demands, and exercise judgment on when to resolve, escalate, or pause for input.
  • Availability to travel up to 25% to clinic locations, primarily within Texas with occasional travel to other states as the company expands.

Preferred:
  • Experience with ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or comparable ITSM platform.
  • Experience supporting FortiGate, UniFi, or Meraki networks at the site level.
  • Experience with M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations using ShareGate or similar tooling.
  • Experience supporting Citrix or other published application environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MD-102, AZ-104, or CompTIA Network+.
