IT Infrastructure Deployment Technician (Traveling)
 
Location: Remote/Home Based (Must Reside Near Major Airport)
Travel: 75-90% Nationwide Travel
Duration: 6+ Month Contract with Potential Contract-to-Hire OpportunityPOSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking hands-on IT Infrastructure Deployment Technicians to support network and physical security deployments across multiple locations nationwide.
 
This role focuses on the installation, upgrade, and support of networking and security equipment, including Cisco Meraki networking solutions and Verkada security systems, rather than advanced network engineering or architecture.
 
The ideal candidate enjoys working in the field, traveling to various locations, installing equipment, running and terminating cabling, and ensuring technology deployments are completed successfully.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Travel to locations throughout the United States to support infrastructure deployment projects.
  • Install and mount networking equipment, security cameras, access control devices, and related hardware.
  • Install, replace, and support Cisco Meraki switches, wireless access points, and security appliances/firewalls.
  • Assist with deployment and installation of Verkada security solutions, including cameras, access control devices, and door readers.
  • Perform structured cabling and low-voltage installation activities.
  • Label, test, and document cabling and equipment installations.
  • Conduct site assessments and verify equipment placement requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding equipment shipments and deployment schedules.
  • Troubleshoot basic connectivity and hardware issues during installations.
  • Provide deployment status updates and installation documentation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-5 years of experience in IT Field Services, Network Installation, Telecommunications, Structured Cabling, Low-Voltage Installation, or Technical Deployment Support.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts.
  • Experience installing or supporting network hardware, cameras, access control systems, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working with hand tools, cable testing tools, and installation equipment.
  • Ability to work independently at remote locations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver''s license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki switches, wireless access points, or security appliances.
  • Experience with Verkada cameras, access control systems, or cloud-managed security platforms.
  • Experience with structured cabling, cable termination, and low-voltage installations.
  • Experience supporting multi-site deployments.
  • Prior experience as a Field Technician, Deployment Technician, Telecom Technician, Security Systems Installer, Access Control Technician, or IT Support Technician.
