Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior AWS WorkSpaces / End User Computing (EUC) Engineer with strong hands-on experience implementing, administering, supporting, and troubleshooting Amazon WorkSpaces and enterprise VDI environments.

The ideal candidate should have solid experience with AWS infrastructure, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows desktop environments, identity/access management, networking, security, and VDI technologies. Experience with Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop in addition to Amazon WorkSpaces is highly preferred.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon WorkSpaces / AWS WorkSpaces
  • Experience with VDI / End User Computing (EUC)
  • Amazon WorkSpaces provisioning, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
  • AWS Directory Service, Microsoft Active Directory, and AD Connector
  • Strong Windows 10/11 and Windows administration experience
  • AWS services including VPC, IAM, EC2, CloudWatch, Security Groups, Route 53, and networking
  • Experience with Group Policy (GPO)
  • Authentication, SSO and MFA
  • PowerShell or other scripting/automation experience
  • Troubleshooting WorkSpaces connectivity, login, application, profile, and performance issues
  • Understanding of enterprise security, access controls, encryption, monitoring, and logging

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and administer Amazon WorkSpaces environments
  • Provision and manage WorkSpaces users, directories, images, and bundles
  • Manage integration between Amazon WorkSpaces and Active Directory / AWS Directory Service
  • Troubleshoot desktop connectivity, authentication, performance, application, and user-profile issues
  • Configure and support VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, IAM, and related AWS networking
  • Manage Windows desktop configurations, Group Policies, patches, and applications
  • Implement appropriate security controls, MFA, encryption, monitoring, and access policies
  • Automate repetitive administration activities using PowerShell and/or AWS automation tools
  • Monitor WorkSpaces performance and availability and support incident/problem resolution
  • Support VDI migrations and enterprise EUC transformation initiatives
  • Create technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
  • Work with infrastructure, network, security, application, and service desk teams
