Designer
Founded in 1919 as Phototype and recently rebranded as the Olberding Brand Family, we are a family company focused on delivering the highest quality and client service in the graphics design, management and printing industry. We Design, Optimize and Protect Brands. Our clients are primarily consumer products companies and printers and we help them by delivering a broad range of services from brand strategy and packaging design, to adaptive design across various print and digital platforms, all the way to color management and the production of printing plates. With our world headquarters located in Cincinnati, we have over 450 employees throughout the United States and offices in Europe and Asia.
Reporting to the Design Director, the Designer will work with an onsite team to support our client in helping to market the brands they produce, and consumers have come to love. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to complete any assigned tactical task, be a reliable design contributor and be able to self manage projects, proactively providing solutions on tasks.
SUBMISSIONS WITHOUT PORTFOLIO, LINKS OR ATTACHMENTS, WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop design craft
  • Absorb knowledge & skills
  • Understand most smaller tactical tasks and complete small complex tasks
  • Learn storytelling & articulate rationale behind design choices
  • Contribute across multiple clients and projects
  • Proactively share design knowledge, including inspiration, trends, and tools

Qualifications Include:
  • 5-7 years' experience in Design within an agency environment
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Expert level in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe XD, After Effects, and/or Premiere is a plus
  • Consumer product company knowledge or experience required
  • Strong knowledge of consumer products packaging, creative design, production artwork and print services preferred
