Salary Range: $85,694 to $141,638 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.  
Employment Status: Full-time

About St Francis Xavier College

St Francis Xavier College is a large 7 -12 comprehensive Catholic secondary school which has served the people of Canberra for nearly 50 years. We are dedicated to a learning culture of innovation and excellence and in supporting our students to become confident, curious and resilient learners, and as such have become a destination school in the Belconnen region.

About the Role

The College is expanding their teaching team and is attracting teachers who are dedicated and agile and whose practice relies on 21st century research, and evidence based pedagogy to teach Design and Technology. The Education faculty comprises of highly skilled, professional, creative and dynamic teachers who are passionate about curriculum and pedagogical practice. In conjunction with teaching a range of Australian Curriculum and BSSS courses, our teachers are expert practitioners and leaders in curriculum design and resource development. Our teachers attend and lead professional learning and use technology in the classroom to enhance the learning experience of our students. Teachers report to their Coordinators.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Bachelor of Education or Master in Teaching
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL) policy.
