Job description

Operations Manager, Remanufacturing.

Heavy Equipment Dealer (Construction & Mining)

Edmonton, Alberta. Open to wider Canada for the right operator (Relocation Package On Offer).

Base $120,000 to $130,000 CAD. Total compensation up to $250,000 CAD.

Start: as soon as the right operator lands.

You walk a shop floor and spot the bottleneck in seconds. Remanufacturing is a discipline in its own right, and a strong manufacturing leader needs to think differently to succeed in this seat. You want a number-two role where your decisions shape a nine-figure operation, and your voice reaches the President from day one.

You lead all operations at a remanufacturing facility for a major heavy equipment dealer network. The site rebuilds components for mining, construction and forestry customers. You run a leadership team of five to seven across production, parts, engineering, project, programme and scheduling, with a wider site headcount of around 200. You own safety, throughput, quality, and the operating budget end-to-end.

Why this role

  • Base of $120,000 to $130,000 CAD with total compensation up to $250,000 CAD
  • Bonus tied to mining group results plus your own branch metrics on safety, productivity and warranty. Historically paid at full target.
  • Direct line to the General Manager and visible to the EVP and President from week one
  • Five to seven direct reports running production, parts, technical services, programmes and scheduling.g
  • Full ownership of a nine-figure component revenue stream with the people and budget to deliver

What we need

  • Seven to ten years in operations management across heavy equipment, manufacturing or remanufacturing
  • Senior leadership experience running a group or multiple groups of skilled trades and production staff
  • Hands-on Lean Manufacturing track record across waste reduction, flow, standard work and visual management
  • Proven ownership of a Quality Management System, ideally ISO based
  • Confident in presenting financials, safety performance and operating plans at the executive level
  • Based in Edmonton or willing to relocate for the right opportunity
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, business or a related field. Equivalent experience considered

About the company: Multi-OEM heavy equipment dealer with a national Canadian footprint and a presence in the US. Decades of trading across parts, rentals, field service, training and finance.

Serves mining, construction, forestry, aggregates and waste management customers with a safety culture set from the top down.
