Enterprise Applications Manager – Deltek Vantagepoint

Location: Flexible within the United States; hybrid from an FGMA office or remote with periodic travel
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $135,000–$155,000

About Us

FGM Architects (FGMA) is an employee-owned architecture and interior design firm with a longstanding commitment to service. Established in 1945, our work is guided by the goals of our clients, the context of each site, the environment that sustains it, and the communities it serves.

We partner with clients across PK–12 Education, Higher Education, Municipal, Public Safety, Recreation, Federal, Faith-Based, and Corporate sectors. Our teams work from offices in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Texas, and Virginia, collaborating across locations to deliver thoughtful, community-centered design solutions.

Building communities is at the heart of what we do, and that includes our internal community. Joining FGMA is more than taking a job. It is becoming part of a collaborative and supportive environment where we learn, grow, and succeed together. We teach, inspire, and serve one another every day.

About the Role

FGMA is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and hands-on Enterprise Applications Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and long-term success of our Deltek Vantagepoint enterprise resource planning platform.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and partnering closely with IT, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, and firm leadership, this role will serve as the primary business owner of Vantagepoint. The Enterprise Applications Manager will ensure the system supports FGMA’s business needs while improving processes, data quality, reporting, user adoption, and operational efficiency.

This is not solely a technical administration role. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor who can understand business challenges, translate them into practical system solutions, and help employees use technology more effectively. The role combines hands-on system ownership with cross-functional leadership, training, process improvement, and long-term planning.

Direct experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision is strongly preferred. We will also consider candidates with significant experience administering a comparable project-based ERP system who understand professional services operations and are prepared to quickly develop expertise in Vantagepoint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary administrator and business owner of Deltek Vantagepoint
  • Maintain system configuration, workflows, security, user access, data integrity, and overall system performance
  • Partner with business leaders and users to understand operational needs and identify opportunities to improve processes through technology
  • Lead system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, testing, releases, and other optimization initiatives
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics that support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Support financial and project-related processes, including project setup, time and expense, billing, revenue recognition, resource planning, and financial reporting
  • Partner with Marketing and Business Development to strengthen the use of Vantagepoint CRM, improve data quality, and support client relationship and pipeline management
  • Establish system governance, documentation, data standards, and best practices across the firm
  • Develop and deliver training, resources, and ongoing support that increase user confidence and system adoption
  • Troubleshoot system, process, and data issues and coordinate with internal resources, Deltek, and third-party consultants when additional support is needed
  • Collaborate with the IT Director to align Vantagepoint and other enterprise applications with FGMA’s broader technology strategy
  • Create and maintain a strategic roadmap for system improvements based on business priorities, user needs, and available Vantagepoint capabilities
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate the work of outside consultants as appropriate
  • Stay informed about Deltek Vantagepoint enhancements, emerging technology, and best practices within professional services organizations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Seven or more years of experience supporting ERP systems, enterprise applications, financial systems, business systems, or related technology functions
  • Hands-on experience administering, configuring, implementing, or optimizing an ERP or enterprise business system
  • Understanding of project-based business processes, including project accounting, billing, revenue recognition, time and expense, resource planning, and financial reporting
  • Experience partnering with Finance, Operations, IT, or other business functions to improve processes through technology
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into practical system and process solutions
  • Experience managing system improvements, implementations, upgrades, integrations, or other cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while remaining responsive to day-to-day business needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or Deltek Vision
  • Experience supporting an architecture, engineering, construction, consulting, or other project-based professional services organization
  • Experience with Vantagepoint CRM or another integrated customer relationship management platform
  • Knowledge of reporting, data visualization, or business intelligence tools such as Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting system integrations and data migration
  • Experience developing user training, documentation, and organizational change-management plans
  • Project management experience or certification
What We Offer
  • Flexible work arrangements, including the opportunity to work remotely or from an FGMA office, with periodic travel based on business needs
  • Flexible Fridays, with a 36-hour workweek Monday through Thursday and a half-day on Friday
  • Eligibility for bonus programs tied to individual, team, or organizational goals
  • Generous paid time off, including bereavement leave
  • Eight weeks of paid parental leave for all parents
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Employer-provided basic life and AD amp;D insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability coverage
