Cyber Cloud Security - DevSecOps Manager

Work You'll Do

As a DevSecOps Security Manager, you will lead client engagements focused on transforming and scaling Secure-by-Design, DevSecOps, Application Security, and Secure SDLC capabilities across cloud and modern engineering environments. You will work with security, technology, engineering, risk, and business leaders to translate cybersecurity requirements into practical engineering solutions while enabling organizations to deliver software securely and efficiently.

As a Manager, you will:

  • Lead complex DevSecOps and Secure-by-Design engagements, owning delivery from current-state assessment and strategy through roadmap development, solution design, implementation, and operationalization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary day-to-day client contact, working with senior stakeholders across Cybersecurity, Engineering, Cloud, Application Development, Risk, Compliance, and Technology leadership.
  • Lead DevSecOps and Secure SDLC maturity assessments across people, process, technology, and governance; identify capability gaps and develop prioritized transformation roadmaps.
  • Design and implement Secure-by-Design operating models that integrate security throughout the application lifecycle from business requirements and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and production operations.
  • Lead the strategy and adoption of AI-enabled DevSecOps and Application Security, Integrating AI/Agentic capabilities across Secure SDLC and CI/CD for automated security assessments, threat analysis, vulnerability discovery, Triage, and risk-based prioritization.
  • Design and implement AI-assisted vulnerability remediation, including root-cause analysis, remediation recommendations, automated code fixes, remediation validation, and integration with existing AppSec, vulnerability management, and developer workflows
  • Establish secure AI/Agentic AI governance and guardrails, AI threat Modeling, identity and data protection, prompt-injection controls, secure agent permissions, and metrics to measure automation and remediation effectiveness.
  • Define and optimize security engagement and application intake processes, including application risk classification, security assessments, threat modeling, architecture reviews, control validation, approvals, exception management, and go-live governance.
  • Translate enterprise security policies and frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, OWASP, ISO 27001, and organizational security standards into actionable engineering controls and automated security requirements.
  • Guide integration of Application Security capabilities including SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning, IaC scanning, container security, API security, threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
  • Advance software supply chain security, including dependency management, artifact integrity, SBOM, secure build pipelines, code signing, secrets management, PKI/HSM considerations, and software provenance.
  • Assess and improve cloud-native, container, Kubernetes, and runtime security, helping engineering teams prioritize remediation while maintaining development velocity.
  • Define DevSecOps operating models and governance structures, including organizational responsibilities, service catalogs, intake models, RACI, security champions, governance forums, and escalation mechanisms.
  • Establish security metrics, KPIs, KRIs, dashboards, and executive reporting covering security assessment cycle time, vulnerability trends, remediation performance, control compliance, risk reduction, and engineering adoption.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional onsite and offshore teams, providing technical direction, delivery oversight, quality assurance, workload management, and professional development.
  • Manage engagement activities including scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, deliverables, budget, client expectations, and executive communications.
  • Facilitate executive workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders, resolve complex security challenges, and drive decisions regarding security transformation priorities.
  • Support business development and account growth by identifying client opportunities, shaping solutions, developing scopes and estimates, contributing to proposals and RFP responses, and supporting client presentations and pursuits.
  • Contribute to development of Deloitte DevSecOps, Secure-by-Design, Application Security, AI Security, and Cloud Security capabilities, including accelerators, reusable frameworks, methodologies, demonstrations, POVs, and thought leadership.

The Team

Our Enterprise Security offering embeds security in all aspects of digital transformation by securing a client's technical backbone while enabling secure digital transformation. Includes security architecture, secure development and deployment, end-to-end cyber cloud capabilities, application security, and security for emerging technologies and connected products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
  • 6+ years of professional experience in at least one of the following domains: DevSecOps, Application Security, Secure SDLC, Cloud Security, cybersecurity engineering, or cybersecurity consulting.
  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience directly managing teams and demonstrating accountability for staffing, performance management, resource allocation, and budget or financial oversight.
  • 3+ years of experience leading DevSecOps, Application Security, Secure SDLC, or Secure-by-Design projects or workstreams, including responsibility for delivery planning, stakeholder coordination, and project deliverables.
  • 2+ years of experience performing DevSecOps or Secure SDLC assessments, operating model design, security transformation roadmap development, or implementation oversight.
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD and Application Security technologies, including experience with at least 3 of the following security capabilities: SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning, IaC scanning, container security, API security, threat modeling, or vulnerability management.
  • 2+ years of experience translating cybersecurity policies, standards, or regulatory requirements into technical security controls, engineering requirements, or SDLC workflows.
  • Experience applying at least 2 cybersecurity frameworks or standards, such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SSDF, OWASP SAMM, ISO 27001, or comparable frameworks, on at least 1 client or enterprise security program.
  • 1+ year of experience with cloud or cloud-native security across at least 1 major cloud platform-Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform-or technologies such as Kubernetes and containers.
  • 1+ year of experience using security governance, workflow, ticketing, or automation platforms, such as ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience leading at least 1 project or workstream involving geographically distributed, onsite/offshore, or cross-functional teams.
  • Experience serving as a client or business stakeholder contact on at least 2 cybersecurity or technology projects, including responsibility for status reporting, workshops, requirements, risks/issues, or deliverables.
  • Experience contributing to at least 2 business development activities, such as proposals, RFP/RFI responses, statements of work, estimates, solution presentations, or client pursuits.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience with AI-enabled cybersecurity, Generative AI security, AI-assisted vulnerability management/remediation, or Agentic AI security automation.
  • Experience implementing or evaluating at least 1 AI-assisted security use case, such as vulnerability triage, remediation recommendations, code remediation, threat analysis, security control validation, or security workflow automation.
  • Experience with at least 2 software supply chain security capabilities, such as SBOM, SLSA, code signing, artifact integrity, dependency governance, PKI/HSM, or software provenance.
  • Experience with OWASP SAMM, BSIMM, NIST SSDF, SLSA, or comparable software security maturity frameworks.
  • At least 1 relevant cybersecurity or cloud certification, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CSSLP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or comparable certification.
  • 2+ years of consulting or professional services experience preferred.
  • Experience with at least 1 analytics/reporting platform, such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or comparable technology.
  • Experience supporting security requirements associated with at least 1 regulatory or compliance framework, such as ISO 27001/27017, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, or NIST SP 800-53.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $134,500 to $265,100. 

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
