CORE MISSION

  • She/he is in charge of managing a projects / services portfolio and leading a team of Project / Service Delivery managers. Projects in the portfolio may also be part of a program, in which case project managers will also contribute to such program.
  • She/he oversees all Projects / Services in his/her portfolio, from pre-sales to effective delivery. He is the first level of Supervisory Authority. He/she is in particular in charge of taking go / no go decisions at key moments of the projects, and he is the first level of escalation for customers and Thales stakeholders (such sales, management, Verticals).
  • Continuously monitors and controls the projects and Services of the portfolio, managed by his/her team and initiates corrective actions by ensuring customer satisfaction, committed time, quality project profitability and meeting contractual commitments

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team management
    • Lead the team sharing vision, providing objectives, monitoring and assessing the team and individual performance
    • Managing resources competencies (evaluation, training needs) with the objective to anticipate project needs
    • Preparing budget and optimizing the team structure to be able to handle projects and services
    • According to projects identified during priority and forecast reviews, allocate Project / Service Delivery managers
    • Recruit new talents when needed and supervise their ramp-up
    • Monitor team activity ensuring expected KPIs are met
  • Projects portfolio management
    • Taking commitment in front of internal and external customers regarding the ability to deliver future projects based on resources capacity (slotting process)
    • Supporting the team to review quotations, get requested resources for the project, identify and manage risks, commit on lead-times, get support from other organizations.
    • Supervising projects taking into accounts the following criteria:
      • Customer satisfaction
      • Cost control
      • Business growth
      • Process implementation & Quality of the delivered solution
      • Project team motivation
    • Reviewing project plan and delivery proposed by project managers in taking GO / NO GO decision in management reviews
    • Reviewing CR and project events for approval
    • Making decisions that impact multiple projects in his/her portfolio, such as selecting priorities for resource allocations.
    • Working closely with engineering managers, product managers, sales teams and customers to solve issues related to projects delivered by his/her team
  • Reporting
    • Providing visibility to his/her manager on :
      • Resource allocation
      • Projects and service performance
      • Lead Monthly Delivery Reviews and Operation reviews.
    • Provide expected Key Performance Indicators
  • Quality
    • Deploy and implement DES processes and be involved in improvement initiatives

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Professional Experiences

  • 5 years' experience in project and/ or service delivery management
  • 3 years in team management and leadership
  • Excellent customer relationship management / communication.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Solid resource planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Crisis and Risk management.
  • Negotiation skills and partners and suppliers management
  • Experience to work with the multi-national and multi-site environments.
  • Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.
  • Quality assurance
  • Legal Aspect of software
  • Working experience in Telecom
  • PMP/ ITIL certification is a plus.
