Job description

Dekker is seeking Drafters tocontribute to multi-disciplinary project teams and support the delivery of complex, Federal-sector architecture projects. The role allows the individual a chance to work on technical and sustainable projects. This position offers the opportunity to make firm-wide contributions to projects ranging from, Multifamily Housing, Commercial and/or Education (K-12 & Higher Ed)

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed architectural drawings and plans using design software, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings and specifications, adhering to relevant building codes and standards.
  • Work closely with team members to interpret design concepts and incorporate feedback into drawings.
  • Collaboratively engages in project work with responsibilities as assigned.
  • Provide consultation and team collaboration in the planning, design, and coordination of projects.

Qualifications

  • This is a hybrid work environment with 3 days onsite required. Applicants must live in the Albuquerque, NM area
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Associate's degree in drafting, architecture or related field.
  • 2 + years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). Knowledge of additional design software (e.g., SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous.
  • Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
