Position Summary: Under limited supervision, drives strategic marketing initiatives to strengthen and expand relationships with dealership partners. This role involves assessing applicants' credit and financial profiles to make informed loan underwriting decisions for both existing and new members. Key responsibilities include conducting effective and ongoing marketing outreach to dealerships to capture applications and contracts, while clearly communicating the unique value of Westmark's programs to partners. Success in this position requires advanced marketing expertise, strong decision-making capabilities in loan underwriting, excellent communication skills, and a confident, assertive personality to build and sustain productive relationships.

Schedule: 40 hours within a Monday through Friday work week, some Saturdays and Holidays



Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular and ongoing marketing calls to Dealerships as assigned by the Indirect Rep/Marketing Manager and Sr VP of Indirect Lending.
  • Travel extensively to visit with dealerships in the SE Idaho region or other regions as needed.
  • Support marketing plans and promotions and communicate them to Dealerships.
  • Review loan applications and credit reports using Dealer Lending Software LPQ.
  • Approve loans within established lending guidelines and authority.
  • Communicate loan decisions to dealerships through LPQ software, email, or telephone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete all loan documentation and funding accurately and on time.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Indirect Rep/Marketing Manager and Sr VP of Indirect Lending.


Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Lending experience at Westmark or another financial institution, with the ability to quickly learn Westmark's lending policies, procedures, credit underwriting standards, and credit grading.
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or a financially related field preferred; OR a high school diploma and a minimum of three years of relevant marketing experience, preferably involving banking or dealerships; OR a combination of formal education, training, and applicable experience.
  • Successful completion of the FSO training program with 12 or more months of lending experience at Westmark; OR one or more years of direct or indirect lending experience at another financial institution; OR experience working at or with auto dealerships; OR a combination of relevant credit union and lending background or experience.
  • Good driving skills and comfort driving company vehicles extensively in all weather conditions.

  • Mathematical skills sufficient to meet lending needs.
  • Extensive marketing skills and general knowledge of Westmark's loan, share products, and services.


Physical Requirements:

  • Manual Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as typing and operating office equipment.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move around and travel to various locations.
  • Visual and auditory abilities to understand and communicate with the public.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. 
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs., if required for departmental tasks.
