Meaningful Work From Day One:
Responsible for the overall management and control of all financial and operational functions of Brown-Forman Employees Credit Union. Provides leadership and direction to ensure the short and long term profitability of the credit union, ensuring compliance according to federal and state regulations in accordance with the GAAP.

What You Can Expect:

  • Leads credit union and its staff, overseeing day-to-day operations, performance management, and long-term goal alignment for the team members.

  • Directs financial strategy and reporting, preparing annual operating budget proposals, analyzing data for stability, and producing regular financial statements and investment status reports.

  • Ensures rigorous regulatory compliance, serving as the Compliance Officer to manage state and federal audits, including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering programs.

  • Manages cash flow and liquidity, monitoring withdrawal and loan needs, maintaining cash policies, and coordinating with the Federal Reserve and Kentucky Corporate Credit Union for ACH and cash requirements.

  • Drives member engagement and growth, overseeing all marketing efforts, including advertising, promotional campaigns, and quarterly newsletter communications.

  • Facilitates board governance, leading monthly board meetings and collaborating with directors to define and execute strategic goals and service offerings, while upholding the mission and values of the credit union.

  • Oversees technology and risk management, maintaining credit union software integrity through vendor upgrades and managing annual liability coverage for the staff and board.

  • Protects assets, independently collecting on past due accounts and coordinating legal actions, collateral repossessions, and bankruptcy claims.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with 7+ plus years work experience in a Banking or Credit Union setting

  • Ability to independently manage and complete assigned workload within established deadlines in a high pressure, team environment utilizing initiative, discretion, and independent judgment.

  • Ability to perform work with accuracy, with attention to detail and within established time frames.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel.

  • Proven analytical mathematical skills; ability to handle detailed information with an extreme degree of accuracy.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive employee financial information.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel within the company and with external contacts.

  • Proficient in use of Excel and Word.
