What does a day as a Staff Attorney at Leaders Credit Union look like?

As a staff attorney at Leaders, you will play a vital role in supporting our legal department in various legal matters. Your expertise will help ensure that our institution operates within the legal framework and maintains the highest standards of integrity and compliance. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and agreements
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conducting legal research and analysis on various issues
  • Managing and organizing legal files, documents, and records
  • Coordinating with internal departments to gather necessary information for legal matters.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting the financial industry.
  • Providing administrative support to the legal department as needed.

What is the schedule?Our hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Sometimes giving top-notch member service may require a little overtime, but we value work-life-balance and do our best to limit this.

  • Has a law degree from an accredited law school
  • Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Must maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers
  • Must have very strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with keen attention to detail.
