What does a day as a Member Service Representative look like?

As Member Service Representative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting members with loan origination, opening and closing accounts, answering questions about products and services and resolving problems. Being a Financial Champion and advising applicable products for each member.
  • Provides prompt, accurate, courteous, and professional service at all times.
  • Works directly with the underwriting department to step our members through the lending process.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities for all credit union products that can best fit the member's needs.
  • Accurately maintain member account information.

What is the schedule? Our hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. We are open at limited locations on Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm, these are covered on a rotating basis. Sometimes giving top-notch member service may require a little overtime, but we value work-life-balance and do our best to limit this. This is not a work from home position.

Does your skillset and experience line up? For this role, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • A two-year college degree or applicable specialized training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Must maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers
  • Must have very strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
