Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
• 1099: $110–$117 per hour
• Salaried: $80,000–$100,000 annually

We are a multidisciplinary practice providing high-quality, person-centered services to individuals funded through Maryland’s Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) Self-Directed Services waiver. We are expanding our clinical team and seeking a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide direct therapeutic services, treatment planning, programming, and team-based clinical support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs.
Position Overview
The LCPC/LCSW will provide direct clinical services to DDA-funded clients while supporting staff and families through treatment plan development, therapeutic programming, staff training, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Clients may present with anxiety, depression, trauma histories, emotional dysregulation, executive functioning challenges, and complex support needs.
This role complements behavior support services and emphasizes a mental health and counseling scope, working collaboratively alongside BCBAs and other providers.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Clinical Support
Provide individual therapeutic services to DDA clients in home, community, office, and/or telehealth settings
Address mental health needs including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma responses, emotional regulation, and stress management
Adapt therapeutic interventions to meet cognitive, communication, and sensory needs
Treatment Planning & Programming
Write, implement, and update individualized clinical treatment plans in accordance with DDA and Medicaid requirements
Develop therapeutic programming and skill-building interventions that support emotional regulation, independence, and quality of life
Collaborate with BCBAs to ensure coordinated, ethically aligned care
Staff Training & Team Collaboration
Provide training and guidance to direct support staff on therapeutic strategies, trauma-informed care, and emotional regulation supports
Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and interdisciplinary planning
Support families and staff with carryover of therapeutic strategies across settings
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain timely and compliant documentation
Adhere to ethical, professional, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Maryland LCPC or LCSW license
Experience providing direct clinical services
Comfort working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or strong interest in this population
Ability to write treatment plans and develop therapeutic programming
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Willingness to apply for and be accepted as a DDA Sole Practitioner (administrative support will be provided)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DDA Self-Directed Services or Medicaid waiver programs
Background in ACT, CBT, DBT-informed, or trauma-informed approaches
Experience providing staff training or team-based consultation
