Direct Support Professional- Adult Day Services
Come to Easterseals Rehabilitation Center and Make a Difference! It’s a heart connection!
Easterseals Rehabilitation Center Southwestern Indiana is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care to individuals with disabilities in our Aspire Day Services. Have fun, and share our passion for changing lives! No Experience Necessary! We provide all the training!
This is a Part-Time position working Monday-Friday 8:30-2:00 with the exception of Wednesdays 8:30-4:00
Pay rate is $16.00/hour
Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:
  • Assist with feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other medical procedures as trained and prescribed
  • Implement behavior programs and documentation
  • Assist with Activities and Outings
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old with either a High School Diploma, GED, or the ability to pass a reading test
  • Experience in a healthcare or caregiving setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds frequently
  • Must pass a Physical, Drug Screen, TB test, reference checks, background checks
