Job description

Overview
VTG is looking for a Deputy Program Manager in Chantilly, VA. (Note: Contingent upon program award) The Deputy PM supports the Task Order Program Manager in executing day-to-day program management activities, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of required management products, and maintaining execution rigor across schedule, cost, and performance. The Deputy PM serves as the acting PM in the PM's absence and helps coordinate internal teams to meet Government expectations and mission needs.
What will you do?
  • Support the PM in managing and coordinating contract execution to meet schedule, budget, and performance objectives described in the Program Management Plan (PMP)
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating the PMP, including documenting technical and management processes used to complete SOW tasks within time and budget constraints
  • Coordinate preparation of recurring program reporting, including inputs to the monthly Program Status Report and materials that roll into Quarterly Program Management Reviews (PMRs/QPMRs), aligned to Government-approved formats and applicable CDRLs
  • Help plan and execute the continuous improvement plan, including collection and synthesis of performance self-assessment results for presentation at monthly PMRs
  • Track action items, risks, issues, and dependencies; facilitate internal cross-functional coordination to drive closure and maintain execution cadence.
  • Support stakeholder communications and meeting management (agendas, minutes, decision tracking) to ensure disciplined program governance.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Demonstrated experience supporting program management functions (planning, execution tracking, reporting, and customer coordination) in a Government services environment.
  • Experience producing or coordinating program management artifacts such as status reports, PMR materials, and improvement/action plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate across technical teams and leadership.
  • TS/SCI with Poly Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree
  • 5-9 years experience; with relevant experience on a program or organization at the same size/scope

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $175,000 - $205,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
