Summary
Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, the Marketing Database Manager is responsible for planning the execution of all direct marketing projects including setup, creation, and oversight. The primary focus of this position is the strategic development and execution of targeted marketing efforts across all channels. This position will also play a primary role in identifying and evaluating new data-driven business opportunities and providing revenue-generation suggestions to corporate and property management and marketing.
Directs the company's centralized data analytics efforts including new thought processes, developing new analytical perspectives, and managing a department tasked to perform business, customer, database, and program analyses to support company objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop marketing programs and campaigns that build rated customer base, increase response rate resulting in maximized incremental revenue and ROI. Set segmentation and reinvestment standards based on observed performance and budgetary guidelines.
  • Develop and monitor efficiencies of all Direct Mail processes including list assignment, creative, proofing and expense.
  • Develop and present all monthly analytical reports pertaining to the Database Marketing function.
  • Ensure pro and post forma reports are ready for approval and presentation.
  • Establish short and long term goals for the Database Marketing function.
  • Provide analytical needs for any internal or external market research that may be conducted.
  • Responsible for evaluation and reporting on the reinvestment matrix including Tier benefit design and reinvestments, point/comp earnings and delivery, discounts and any other reinvestment mechanism to ensure maximum ROI.
  • Coordinate with other departments to maximize occupancies/revenue/profit via yield process.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timely delivery of all direct mail efforts.
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of new systems, vendors or technologies pertaining to the Database Marketing function.
  • Oversee the CAPS account with the USPS. Provide timely and accurate reports on a monthly basis and as requested.
  • Assist in the preparation of the RFP process for each of the Database Marketing vendors including such areas as print, e-mail, SMS, and promotional products.
  • Oversee the day to day performance and responsibilities of Database Coordinator(s).
  • Other duties as assigned.

S.I.G.E. TRIBAL - STATE COMPACT & ACCOUNTING & INTERNAL CONTROL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for Internal Control and Compact compliance regarding Casino Operations and ensure compliance with regulations of the Tribal Gaming Commission.
Requirements
Qualifications and Competency
  • Casino industry database marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience in a casino environment preferred.
  • Experience must include use of database management and information systems including but not limited to SQL, Access, SAS, and pivot tables.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, interpretive, and strategic thinking skills required.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and report on relevant data in business unit user-friendly terms.
  • Ability to build models using available data and methods.
  • SQL query writing experience required.
  • Conceptual knowledge/understanding of relational databases.
  • Database query logical thinking capabilities.
  • Knowledge of casino tracking systems, IGT Patron Management, QCI, and Everi/Trilogy kiosk; Agylisis system preferred; Solid leadership skills with the ability to coach and teach.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or other relevant field or at least a minimum of five (5) years' experience in database analysis and database marketing required.
  • Four-year degree with a quantitative focus is preferred.
  • Appropriate experience of 5+ years with an analytics role required.
  • Minimum of three (3) year managerial experience required.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and report on relevant data in business unit user-friendly terms.
  • Ability to build models using available data and methods.
  • Must have the ability to independently handle projects from inception to completion including: define, gather and analyze data, draw conclusions, written and/or verbal communication of results using analytical knowledge and techniques with an understanding of business practices.
  • Solid leadership skills with the ability to coach and teach.
  • Advanced knowledge of relational database query tools with specific knowledge of COGNOS and CMS functions preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access.
