The Royal Caribbean Group Casino Operations team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Lead, Casino Database Marketing reporting to Senior Manager, Casino Database Marketing.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing Casino Marketing to maximize net revenue and margins from the casino database by promoting sailings to known casino guests and driving additional acquisition efforts. This role is also responsible for partnering with VIP Program operations and the Club Royale loyalty rewards program to increase inbound customer contact.

This role owns the database marketing reinvestment strategy and analysis of Direct Mail and Email campaigns, and partners with Marketing, Consumer Outreach, and Revenue Management to drive aggressive growth in casino bookings at the most profitable margins possible. This role will have a primary focus in seamlessly assisting in rolling out a Digital Experience for Casino guests. This role will be responsible for building new templates to fit for web production, planning out casino calendars, developing strategies for driving traffic through the web, brainstorm on solutions for challenges this will pose, and rethink the way casino offers are created and deployed to casino VIPs.

The success of this role will be measured by growth in bookings (both through CO & web bookings), Net Gaming Revenue, conversion and the marketable database. This role will report to Manager, Casino Database Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all casino database marketing campaigns, as well as analyzing the database & brainstorming for growth opportunities.
  • Own the relationship with marketing, web, ecommerce, VIP services, RM, and all other stakeholders involved in a Web Targeted Offer & project manage from the campaign creation to deployment to ensure seamless launch.
  • Lead projects related to web offers, web testing, and transition of the manual CO process to an automated web & digital experience.
  • Collaborate with web & VIP services to ensure all different campaign types are supported on web platforms.
  • Brainstorm new creative segmented and automated campaigns to deploy via app and Web.
  • Segment casino marketing database and determine offers for database marketing campaigns that maximize profitability of targeted player groups through segmentation testing and analysis.
  • Own casino marketing testing program, including proposal of tests, overseeing the analysis/reporting of tests, and ensuring learnings are incorporated into all casino channels.
  • Delivers consistent post-campaign/monthly/quarterly/annual reports with analysis and insights that will be implemented into casino tactics.
  • Serve as the liaison between internal Club Royale teams and Marketing to ensure proper development and delivery of casino collateral and loyalty initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Club Royale and Marketing teams to strategically increase automated touchpoints to improve guest experience and loyalty engagement.
  • Consistently evaluate processes and campaign development strategies with Marketing to ensure our teams are working efficiently to develop and execute campaigns quickly.
  • Provide guidance for and support other Casino initiatives such as Instant Rewards, Partnership Certificate Events, Rep cross-marketing, Player Development marketing and more.
  • Partner with Shipboard Operations, IT, and Hotel Performance to constantly improve quantity and quality of casino database as well as accuracy of data transfer from ship to shore.
  • When appropriate, personally manage customer issues, escalations, and onboard responsibilities.

Financial & Quantitative Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed annual casino bookings/revenue/APD growth targets
  • Meet and exceed targets for Web Related growth including revenue and bookings generated

Qualifications

  • College degree required. 3 to 5 years database marketing required.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Education: BS/BA in Marketing, Industrial Engineering, analytics, or related field
  • Experience in database analytics and revenue optimization, CRM, customer contact strategy and loyalty marketing.
  • Knowledge of the principles of casino mathematics, including the calculation of theoretical loss, is a plus.
  • Proficiency with a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint and working knowledge or basic understanding of programs such as Alteryx, SQL, PowerBI, SAS and others.
  • Execution: excellent attention to detail and follow through.
  • Project management: ability to manage multiple campaigns and cross-functional team members.
  • Familiarity with metrics-based marketing.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and present extensive and complex procedures to an executive level audience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work flexible hours.
  • Approach: energy and enthusiasm to drive results; must be self-motivated, proactive and poised.
