Job description

Mb Staffing Services is seeking a highly analytical and solutions-focused Data Analyst with direct Medicaid coding experience to support a collaborative healthcare-focused team.


This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who has a deep understanding of Medicaid billing regulations and guidelines, including eligibility criteria, reimbursement rates, and documentation requirements for billing submissions and compliance with Medicaid policies.


Key Responsibilities

• Proficiency in analyzing billing data for identifying trends, discrepancies and areas of improvement

• Analyze healthcare and provider data for accuracy and compliance

• Audit Medicaid coding and billing records

• Adept at utilizing analytical tools and software to generate reports, interpret data, and make informed recommendations for optimizing billing efficiency and accuracy.

• Research and resolve coding discrepancies and billing issues

• Identify trends and recommend operational improvements

• Support reporting, data tracking, and process improvement initiatives

• Troubleshoot billing discrepancies

• Collaborate with providers, vendors, and internal leadership teams


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis, coding, or billing

• Direct Medicaid coding experience REQUIRED

• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and compliance standards

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Experience with databases, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office

• Experience with Smartsheets, Omnicaid, HTH, or similar systems is a plus
