Position Overview

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about building systems that support social impact? Join YourPassion1st as our Data Manager on the Strategy & Impact Team! In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining our organizational data infrastructure, ensuring data quality and accessibility, and supporting teams across the organization with data tools and systems.

As a Data Manager, you'll serve as the steward of our organizational data, maintaining databases, implementing data governance practices, and ensuring that accurate, reliable information is available to support programs, operations, and decision-making. Your work will enable our teams to work more efficiently and make data-informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Infrastructure & Systems Management:

  • Maintain and manage organizational databases, CRM systems, and data repositories
  • Oversee data architecture and ensure systems are properly structured and integrated
  • Implement and maintain data management platforms (e.g., Airtable, Salesforce, Google Workspace)
  • Set up automated workflows and data synchronization between platforms
  • Troubleshoot data system issues and provide technical support to team members
  • Evaluate and recommend new data management tools and technologies

Data Quality & Governance:

  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and validation processes
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Conduct regular data audits to identify and resolve inconsistencies or errors
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries, schemas, and system documentation
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures for critical organizational data

Data Operations & Access:

  • Manage user access permissions and roles across data systems
  • Create standardized templates and forms for data collection across teams
  • Organize and maintain file structures, naming conventions, and data storage systems
  • Coordinate data migration and cleanup projects
  • Ensure data is properly archived and retrievable when needed
  • Monitor system performance and storage capacity

Team Support & Training:

  • Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on data systems and tools
  • Create user guides and documentation for data entry and management processes
  • Respond to data-related requests and troubleshoot issues
  • Collaborate with program teams to understand their data needs and requirements
  • Support the Strategy & Impact Team with data infrastructure for reporting and evaluation

Who We're Looking For

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with database management and CRM systems (Salesforce, Trello, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Proficiency in data management tools and platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Understanding of data governance principles and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with data quality assurance and validation processes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to train others

Time Commitment

  • Flexible schedule: approximately 5-8 hours per week
  • Availability for monthly Strategy & Impact Team meetings
  • Commitment of at least 3-6 months to allow for meaningful impact
