Job description

Accounting Data Entry Specialist - BenGen
Numbers tell a story, and at BenGen, you'll be the one making sure that story is always accurate. We're looking for a detail-obsessed accounting professional to be the backbone of our finance team, keeping our books clean, our transactions reconciled, and our reporting airtight.
This isn't just data entry. You'll own the accuracy of our financial system end to end: entering transactions, reconciling accounts, catching errors before they become problems, and helping us close each month with confidence. If you love the satisfaction of a balanced ledger and want real ownership over financial processes (not just tasks), this role is built for you.
What You'll Own:
  • NetSuite Data Entry: Keep our financial system accurate and current with precise, efficient data entry.
  • Expense Report Review: Verify reimbursements and per diem rates so every expense report is right the first time.
  • File Prep and Import: Build and import CSV files for bank, credit card, and advertising transactions.
  • Excel Reporting: Track spending across Subscriptions, Recruiting, Executive costs, Travel, and more.
  • Daily Bank Matching: Handle return payment journal entries, test payments, and reconciliation work.
  • Bill Approvals: Manage the approval workflow so every expense is authorized and accounted for.
  • Weekly P&L and Balance Sheet Review: Catch and correct errors before they compound.

Where You'll Make an Impact:
  • Deliver error-free financial reports that leadership can trust.
  • Support month-end and year-end close, including intercompany billing for executive commissions and shared services.
  • Reconcile accounts and post adjusting entries to keep our books clean.
  • Uphold GAAP standards across everything you touch.
  • Spot opportunities to improve our financial processes and help the team run smarter.
  • Support audits with clean data and quick, accurate adjustments.

What You Bring:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an accounting role, ideally with high transaction volume.
  • Solid grasp of accounting principles, compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Sharp analytical skills and a genuine love of precision.
  • Excel proficiency, with NetSuite experience a strong plus.
  • A collaborative mindset and clear communication style.

The Details:
This is a remote role with standard business hours, with some extra hours expected during month-end and fiscal year-end close.
