Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedMaterial Handlerto support our production and shipping operations. This role is responsible for safely handling, storing, and tracking materials, operating machinery, and ensuring timely movement of materials to meet production and shipping needs. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and proficient with inventory systems and basic computer applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate warehouse and production machinery, includingforklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Track inventory levels, monitor stock, and make recommendations for purchases to maintain adequate supply.
  • Fulfill production and shipping orders by packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for shipment or internal use.
  • Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and easy accessibility.
  • Manageissuing of parts to production jobs and inventory transactions in the Syspro systemaccurately and efficiently.
  • Perform data entry and maintain detailed records of material movements, orders, and inventory levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, including hauling a 20 trailer between company facilities and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Utilize computer programs such asMicrosoft Outlook and Excelto track materials, generate reports, and communicate with team members.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Validdrivers licensewith ability to drive trailers between facilities and suppliers.
  • Experience operatingforklifts, cranes, or other warehouse machinery(certifications preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and data entry systems; experience withSyspro or similar ERP systemsis an asset.
  • Strongattention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials safely.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience in awarehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environmentis preferred.

Hours of Work

  • Averaging hour agreement 44-hour work week
  • Monday to Thursday: 9 hours
  • Friday 8 hours
  • Flex Start 6 am - 9 am
