Position Summary
The Data Manager and Statistical Analyst is a quantitative scientist whose focus will be providing data management and analysis support for a Biostatistics Center. The Center will provide critical infrastructure for statistical planning and analysis across the University. In this role, you will interface with statisticians, faculty in the Department of Biostatistics, and other scientific investigators, to design and implement electronic data capture and data management systems and conduct analyses for regular data monitoring and as-needed reporting of study results. You will also be involved in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the end users and maintaining data standards.
In this position, you will:
  • Participate in study planning and data management design
  • Assist with study implementation and quality control
  • Assist with data reporting and process optimization
  • Conduct data management from different source files, clinical research forms, and ancillary data files
  • Conduct basic statistical analyses, including baseline tables, outcome summary reports, and graphical displays

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years experience in the appropriate discipline (statistics, data science, computer science, mathematics, public health, or other related scientific field)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in statistics, data science, computer science, mathematics, public health, or other related scientific field
  • Working knowledge within areas of Good Clinical Practice and related regulatory requirements and terminology
  • Experience working within a Clinical EDC system
  • Exposure to clinical data coding classification systems
  • Programming knowledge in R, with programming knowledge in Python, SAS, or STATA being desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
