Job description

Application Engineer (POS)

Location: Houston Texas (Hybrid-3 Days/week Onsite)

Job Type: Long Term Contract

Skills:

  • Overview/High level description of the position
  • This position joins a Marketing scrum team.
  • As a member of the team, you will lead development of new stories.
  • This position will assist the Vendor Managers to develop features for the products.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather work requirements for retail development projects.
  • Build and test features.
  • Collaboration with other developers, architects and business SMEs in Agile scrum teams.
  • Clear documentation and definition of how new/revised code operates to enable others to work with and support the code.

Educational / Certification:

  • BS Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., Engineering or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience.

Experience:

  • Strong data coding skills
  • 4+ years of SQL
  • Experience with Salesforce and an understanding of its object structure (nice to have)
  • Experience working in an Agile Development team
  • Must have experience with application in cloud (nice to have Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical design.
