Job description

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Data Engineer IV for our client in the Retail domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Location: Remote

Salary: $80.00-$85.00/Hourly

Primary Skills: ETL

Role Description: The Data Engineer IV must have 10+ years of experience. For this role, you must be a highly skilled and hands-on Ataccama Implementation Engineer to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have broad experience across configurations, connections, and user experience, with a specific focus on supporting Lineage, Data Quality, and Data Catalog. This role requires expertise in implementing and optimizing Ataccama’s capabilities to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business needs.

Must Haves:

- 3 plus years of Ataccama experience

- Strong understanding of data catalog, data lineage and data quality.

- Ability to implement business requirements

Certifications/Degree:

- Required Degree in IT field.

Key Responsibilities:

- Configure and optimize Ataccama ONE modules to meet organizational requirements.

- Establish and maintain data connections for effective data processing and integration.

- Enhance user experience through customized Ataccama configurations and solutions.

- Support and maintain data lineage, data quality, and data catalog functionalities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance best practices.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance for Ataccama-related implementations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in implementing and configuring Ataccama solutions.

- Deep understanding of data governance principles, data quality, and metadata management.

- Hands-on experience with data lineage tracking and data catalog management.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot integration issues.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with data processing pipelines and ETL operations.

Additional Technical Requirements:

Expertise with the following Ataccama ONE modules is highly desirable:

-Metadata Management Module (MMM): Managing data metadata, including definitions, lineage, and quality rules.

- Data Processing Module (DPM): Orchestrating data processing tasks between Ataccama modules.

- Data Processing Engine (DPE): Performing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) operations.

- API Module: Facilitating external system interactions with Ataccama ONE through programmatic access.

- Data Governance Suite: Managing data ownership, stewardship, and quality policies.

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
