Delaware North is hiring a full-time Senior Data Product Owner to join our team in Buffalo, New York. Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $82,600 - $111,500 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
  • Own delivery timelines for data warehousing projects using Databricks Lakehouse, Airflow, and Tableau 
  • Gather and document pipeline and product requirements through stakeholder interviews and iterative discovery 
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications including schemas, data models, and pipeline requirements 
  • Drive pipeline delivery by tracking issues, resolving blockers, escalating risks, and coordinating vendor and stakeholder communication 
  • Leverage SQL and data modeling skills to profile data, support pipeline design, and align available data to business needs 
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, create user documentation, answer questions, and provide training for stakeholders 
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and collect user feedback to refine product features and improve data product quality 
More about you
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer systems engineering, business administration, mathematics, or a similar field  
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the data and analytics domain, with demonstrated experience rapidly orienting to new business units, tailoring solutions to their unique requirements 
  • Experience delivering data insights by writing SQL   
  • Experience with Python or dashboarding tools like Tableau 
  • Adept with data modelling approaches such as 3NF, Star Schema, and OBT 
  • Experience around Fact vs a Dimension and a Type 2 Slowly Changing Dimension 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and a track record of successful product delivery 
  • Knowledge of technical specification and use case story documentation, such as UML, Domain and Entity-Relationship Modeling, and Business Process Notation 
  • Experience working with relational databases and complex data types; machine learning and AI experience is a plus 
  • Knowledge of hospitality, food & beverage, gaming, and the sports industry is a plus 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
