Job description

Data Analyst

Location: Remote (Global)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Type of contract: Independent contractor

Work from any corner of the world and be a part of the remote work revolution!

Scope of Role

This role owns the full lifecycle of performance, profitability, and ecommerce analytics — from raw data to strategic decision-making. The analyst is responsible for building the systems, models, and dashboards that define how the company measures growth, allocates spend, and evaluates customer behavior. Success in this role means creating reliable, actionable insights that allow the marketing, ecommerce, and leadership teams to make confident decisions without guesswork.

Responsibilities

1. Performance Marketing & Profitability Analytics

  • Build and maintain a spend optimization model that allows the marketing team to autonomously adjust spend by channel and SKU mix while staying within key profitability guardrails (CAC, MER, LTV, payback windows).
  • Establish centralized, accurate KPIs for CAC, AOV, ROAS, LTV, retention, and channel performance to ensure the entire organization relies on a single source of truth.
  • Develop dashboards and dynamic reporting aligned with forecasts, spend guardrails, and growth targets across Meta, TikTok, Google, TikTok Shop, TikTok Affiliates, Super Affiliate Ambassadors, and other paid channels.
  • Analyze channel trends and provide insights that improve efficiency, scale revenue, and ensure first-order profitability—particularly within TikTok Shop.
  • Partner with the SVP of Ecommerce and Growth Team on monthly and quarterly planning across spend mix, promotions, budgeting, forecasting, and overall performance strategy.

2. Cross-Functional Analytics

  • Build dashboards and visualizations using Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  • Translate SQL outputs and large datasets into concise narratives and clear recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Support cross-channel forecasting across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale.
  • Conduct analysis on customer cohorts, AOV shifts, SKU performance, retention patterns, and purchasing behavior.
  • Evaluate funnel performance and support CRO and A/B testing with structured data analysis.
  • Work with engineering and data partners to maintain data accuracy across GA4, Recharge, Shopify, Amazon, and paid media platforms.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of analytics experience within a DTC ecommerce environment (brand or agency).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience building dashboards in Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, or Quicksight.
  • Hands-on experience working with GA4 and Shopify datasets.
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort navigating and segmenting large datasets.
  • Understanding of practical AI applications (query optimization, code efficiency).
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Genuine curiosity about consumer behavior, performance trends, and growth levers.
