Position Summary:
Discovery is looking for a talented and passionate Data Associate to join our dynamic FFPE team. The Clinical Data Associate, FFPE contributes to our mission by researching, analyzing, and validating clinical information to ensure consistency, integrity, and accuracy based on project-specific guidelines. This position is dedicated to formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue samples (FFPE).
A Day in the Life of a System Administrator at Discovery Life Sciences:
  • Review pathology reports and medical records to identify FFPE tissue samples that meet research and client requirements.
  • Analyze and validate clinical data, including diagnoses, staging, treatment history, and biomarker results, while maintaining accurate records in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with histopathology team and external clinical sites to support sample procurement, inventory management, and shipment preparation.
  • Generate reports, communicate shipment updates, and provide high-quality clinical data that supports scientific research and customer needs

Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a major in life sciences preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years' work experience with previous biotech or medical experience preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Excel preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
