Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL Job Title: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Business Analyst (BA) Associate -Data Quality Duty Location: Headquarters, Army Materiel Command, G3 Supply Chain Management Directorate, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville AL Clearance Level ( Must Have ): Active DoD - Secret Required Certifications ( Must Have ): None Job Description: The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Business Analyst (BA) Associate - Data Quality assists with content, processes and procedures associated within an ERP system. Defines the detailed requirements for functional business rules and analysis, analyzes the business needs, and validates anomaly resolutions with the client. Details requirements through the product development and other functions to support the project team. Monitors other technical and functional aspects in software development methodology and processes and implementation of those methods. Performs job analysis of business processes and provides an interface between traditional logistical support organizations and functional requirement definitions. Monitors and supports data migration efforts. An ERP BA Associate - Data Quality must demonstrate the following: * Organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills. * The ability to prioritize and multi-task. * The ability to interact at all levels in the chain of command. * The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. * The ability to work well under pressure and around tight deadlines. An ERP BA Associate - Data Quality may be called upon to partner with other Business Analysts, and/or with customer functional managers when developing projects or reports. The candidate should have a working knowledge of the Army's logistics data, ERP and legacy systems, its associated systems, skill sets in the hardware/software (Vantage, Collibra, etc.) being used to accomplish customer tasks, and an understanding of the Army's concept of Enterprise Data Management and Authoritative sources. The ERP BA Associate - Data Quality will assist in logistics support activities centered on data quality support and enterprise data management relative to the Army's ERP systems, specifically GCSS-Army, LMP, GFEBS, and AESIP. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: General Responsibilities: * Assisting in defining the solutions to support identified metrics, as well as monitoring ERP data quality and availability using metrics and audits. * Assisting in the review and development of data governance procedures and making recommendations for improvements to existing data standards and policies. * Enforcing the business processes implemented for the organization's enterprise data management and data integration. * Performing analysis by assessing the areas of impact of data issues from all levels of the enterprise. * Assisting in maintaining and sustaining migration efforts and management of future migration requirements. * Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the data that will be used in support of business processes. * Collecting requirements for the business project, analyzing them and guiding the developmental team in optimizing their work. * Evaluating the data collected by project development teams and preparing functional rules and understanding these details. * Documenting the projects by preparing functional specification documents and user guides for reference of the end users. * Developing briefings and reports as requested by the customer. Specific Responsibilities: * Follow policies, procedures and controls to ensure the proper creation, validation, storage, and integration of metadata. * Review and assist in documentation and implementation processes and procedures for governing the identification, collection, and use of organizational metadata. * Follow policies, procedures and controls to maintain the architecture, metadata standards, and user guides. * Assess the quality and timeliness of Metadata documentation through both automated and manual methods. * Ensure Army and DoW business terms, business rules, business processes and associated metadata are documented and maintained in the government provided software application. * Document and implement appropriate backup and recovery mechanisms to guarantee the recoverability of metadata. * Identify and document requirements necessary to extend the data management tools for use by other stakeholders. * Identify, develop, and provide training and documentation in support of data policies, procedures and tools. Assisting in rolling out standards and policies to the organization. * Documenting, assessing, and influencing business requirements to develop, enable, and advance metadata capabilities to support the organization's mission. * Support the team in managing customer expectations and resolving issues on time. * Perform business and technical presentations in relation to metadata and solutions addressing business problems. Technology: * Maintain skill sets in the hardware/software (Vantage, Collibra, etc.) being used to accomplish customer tasks. * Utilize data analysis tools to include Microsoft products to query and analyze data from databases and other data sources in support of customer data requests. * Exhibit a range of technical knowledge including database, project management, scheduling, etc. * Maintain an awareness of trends that may either positively or negatively affect the customer. * Exhibit a range of technical knowledge including database querying, application development, project management, scheduling, etc. Required Experience: * Army logistics background. * Experience querying and analyzing data from various sources using tools such as SQL, Python, PySpark, Vantage, etc) to process large datasets in a distributed cluster * Ability to work in an ever-changing environment managing multiple tasks and projects. Proven ability to participate in implementing innovative ideas, projects and business solutions * Communication and presentation skills to perform stakeholder management, resolution management, and facilitate Working Groups and IPTs. * An understanding and awareness of ERP interfaces and dependencies. * Knowledge and understanding of the Logistics Enterprise transformation to the ERP-dominated environment. * Ability to articulate objectives of enterprise data quality management.
