Ready to move beyond spreadsheets and truly influence business decisions? Join a high-visibility finance team where your insights directly shape strategy, performance, and growth.

School Health Corporation is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Financial Analyst (FP&A) who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to make a meaningful impact across the organization.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • High exposure to strategic decision-making and business performance
  • Strong focus on financial reporting, analysis, and business partnership
  • Flexible full-time or part-time schedule
  • Hybrid work environment

What Youโ€™ll Do

In this role, you wonโ€™t just report numbersโ€”youโ€™ll help tell the story behind them.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Analyze financial results and provide clear, actionable insights to leadership
  • Partner with department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews
  • Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actual) to explain business drivers
  • Monitor cash flow, banking activity, and financial trends
  • Support audit processes and compliance reporting
  • Analyze cost drivers (freight, expenses, etc.) to identify opportunities
  • Maintain financial data, fixed assets, and reporting systems (D365)
  • Prepare and support journal entries and account reconciliations as part of broader reporting responsibilities
  • Build and enhance financial models and reports
  • Contribute to process improvements and special projects

What You Bring

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2โ€“5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis
  • Strong experience with financial statement preparation and reporting
  • Solid understanding of general ledger and month-end close processes
  • Advanced Excel skills (youโ€™re comfortable digging into data)
  • Ability to translate data into clear, business-focused insights
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus

Youโ€™ll Excel If You Areโ€ฆ

  • Naturally curious and analyticalโ€”you dig into the โ€œwhyโ€ behind the numbers
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • A problem solver who looks for ways to improve processes
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong communicator who can partner across teams

Work Environment

  • Hybrid schedule (in-office + remote flexibility)
  • Collaborative, team-focused culture
  • Professional office at our Rolling Meadows HQ

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience ($54,400 to $83,450)
  • Bonus eligibility
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off + holidays
